Ilkley Business Forum was established in 2009 and is affiliated to BADCOT (the Burley and District Chamber of Trade) and all its members and the members of The Ilkley Business Network (Ilkley’s BNI Group). The Forum has over 80 members and we have ambitious plans to grow our membership over the next year. Our Forum is run by members for members and our success is dependent on working collaboratively with each other.

Forum Committee

Helen Rhodes of Poppy Red children’s shoe shop at 11 The Moors Shopping Centre.

My daughter Jenny and I have owned Poppy Red since 2011 and have been members of IBF for most of the time since. I offered to be secretary to The Forum in 2015 and in 2017 agreed to take over as chairman.

I am keen to promote the benefits of membership and to increase numbers of member to member interactions so please get in touch if you have any ideas.

I have been married to a Steve for a very long time (the truth would make my age too obvious) and have a second daughter Felicity who is 15 – she gets roped into the business too.

In my spare time I like going out for meals and drinking wine (any colour) or gin.
